I am the eternal deity, I can never be killed. I'm Immortal. I am X.

Why I can't debate anymore, I don't know why.

I take breaks and then watch the whole thing from beginning to end, that's how i never lose that 'feel' unless I misunderstood you.

Nothing out of the ordinary my friend. Having done this for almost a year and a half, I can say the same happens to me. I'll go a week where I really just don't want to post about DB, but then the next week I'll go crazy with it. Just wait, and your interest will be rekindled.

Yeah, as a long time Dragon Ball fan, I can say sometimes my Dragon Ball fanaticism disappears for a bit. It's natural to get tired of something.

I've been waiting for two years, and my interest still hasn't been rekindled. I still love Dragon Ball, but I don't really want to talk about it or debate it, and I doubt I ever will again aside from a random thread or two. There are plenty of other things to talk about, though. ^_^

I'm sure if you reread it, or re-watched it your interest may be rekindled. Perhaps because you are focusing on other anime/manga, you have no desire to go back to an older one?

That may be the case. I really need to watch some original Dragon Ball episodes again because that show really used to cheer me up. I guess I just always put it off since I have other things to read and watch. :T_T:

I'm not usually the type to re-watch or re-read things.

DB marathon sounds familiar.

My interest constantly wanes, even daily. Don't fret.

ENOUGH FROM THE CLOWN.

I've had periods of a few years where I didn't even think of DB, then all of a sudden a burst of nostalgia hits and I'm infatuated again. I don't know how to explain it. It's mostly always due to nostalgia then I get into debating it again and then I gotta read the series again to keep up on my s*** and then I just fall in love with it again, get burnt out on the debating and forget about it.

Sounds like addiction :)

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

The reason why my attentiveness wavers is because there's only so many times you can debate the same subject of a thirty year old series. The only real change-up with these debates is of whom you debate these things with.

I lost mine for 10 years.

In the various fan communities I've been apart of (theme parks, Sonic and DBZ) what Ketchup describes eventually becomes apparent. Theme parks differ because theres always new stuff being built, but even there people rehash the same debates into the ground.

I was disinterested in DBZ for like 10 years. Occasionally I'd watch some clips on Youtube and be like "haha, oh I used to love this" and occasionally I'd stumble on some really good art on dA and fav it, but then last year something just clicked back into place.

Brains are weird like that.

I guess the main thing is that you take the people you meet with you when you become disinterested. That's the best thing about fan communities, the friends you meet.

Yeah I've been debating dragonball since the early 2000s. I took like a year break this past year and am back a bit. I like to talk about the stuff we don't really know or that hasn't been ground into sand millions of times. Unless it's something I'm passionate about. I usually come back when I get bored or start thinking of the series again.

I urge all of you to branch out and watch other anime and shows though if you haven't already. There's a whole nother world out there but I have to admit this show or manga is one of the longest and epic out there and truly one of it's kind. Which is why I keep coming back.

You get burnt out man, that's just life. I took a 10 year break from this stuff and just now felt like coming back to it.

You're just burnt out from DBZ. One day it might come back trust me. You just want something new and exciting instead of the old and exciting. Something that can peak your interest just as good or close. You want something new and just burnt out of DBZ.
